LOCATION: This position will mainly be office-based at the head office
in Leixlip, Co Kildare.
REPORTING TO: The National Director, Breaking Through CLG.
THE ROLE
The role will suit an experienced candidate with a minimum of five
years strong accounts management experience, strong administration &
organisational skills experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY TASKS:
FINANCIAL
* Administration of all financial records
* Keeping accurate accounts, using Sage
* Dealing with staff payroll, PRSI, PAYE & Revenue using
computerised payroll system and Revenue reporting
* Managing all banking systems
* Preparing monthly and annual accounts and producing financial
reports
* Preparing projected budgets, to assist with future planning
* Presentation of quarterly management accounts to the Board
* Attend board and sub-committee meetings and provide additional
financial information as required
* Liaising with the auditor/accountant
* Issuing of invoices & payments
* Sourcing new funds for the organisation and contributing to the
preparation of funding applications
* Administration and processing of various funding streams
* Ensure financial controls are meeting all financial regulations
and are compliant with funders, service level agreements, charity
regulator and other bodies
* Ensure all policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines are kept
up to date with legislative requirements and are systematically
reviewed
* Ensure effective internal controls are in place
ADMINISTRATIVE
* Facilitate effective HR administrative requirements including but
not limited to timesheets, annual leave, staff roster
* Meeting and event support with regard to budgeting, scheduling,
minuting etc.
* Inputting and managing data on logging system
* Assisting on planning and delivery of an Annual Conference
* Identifying opportunities for process improvements and
efficiencies while also providing support for continuous improvement
initiatives across the organisation
* Assisting the National Director as and when is needed

Breaking Through CLG, a national organisation was established in

Authority (Reg No: *). Breaking Through CLG
under The Scheme to Support National Organisations is core funded by
the Government of Ireland through the Department of Rural and
Community Development. We are governed by a voluntary Board of
Directors with two full- time and one part- time staff members.
Breaking Through co-ordinate and manage Suicide Intervention &
Prevention Skills Training on behalf of the HSE Mental Health Services
as part of Ireland’s National Suicide Prevention Strategy,
Connecting for Life. Face- to -face suicide prevention training
workshops include training such as safeTALK (Suicide Alertness for
Everyone), ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) and
Understanding Self Harm.
The other focus of Breaking Through’s work is to develop and
coordinate the Irish Aftercare Network (IAN). The Network provides
advice and support to professionals working with young people leaving
care in Ireland. Aftercare is a term used to describe the planning and
support put in place to meet the needs of a young person who is
leaving statutory care at age *.
